Norbert Bisky

Biography

Norbert Bisky (b. 1970, Leipzig, Germany) has exhibited at galleries and institutions internationally. Recent institutional exhibitions include: Fernwärme, Museum Langmatt, Baden, Switzerland; Balagán, Bötzow Berlin; Zentrifuge, Kunsthalle Rostock, Germany; Riots, Espacio Minimo, Madrid; and A Retrospective, Ten Years of Painting at the Kunsthalle Marcel Duchamp, Cully, Switzerland; among others. Bisky has been included in prominent group exhibitions including: G2 #9 – The Art of Recollecting, G2 Kunsthalle Leipzig; DIE REVOLUTION IST TOT. LANG LEBE DIE REVOLUTION!, Kunstmuseum Bern; Zeitgeist: Arte da nova Berlim, Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil, Rio de Janeiro; Bittersüße Zeiten, Kunsthaus Stade, Germany; and Painting III (2000-2015), Frissiras Museum, Athens. His work is included in the collections of: Museum of Modern Art, New York; Museum Ludwig, Cologne; and National Museum of Contemporary Art, Seoul, South Korea; among others. Bisky is represented by Koenig & Clinton, Brooklyn; König Galerie, Berlin and London; Galerie Daniel Templon, Paris and Brussels; Baró Galeria, São Paulo; and Cokkie Snoei, Rotterdam. The artist lives and works in Berlin.
